1. Introduction

  • Horizontal type electric window wiper WGP is a new electrical product suitable for ship cab and operating rooms with the use of wiping water on the scuttles of wheel house. With variable speed motors for power supply, guiding with alloy shells, driving the rubber blade in the bottom of blow rod, it can scrape in parallel on the scuttles of wheel house to keep clear sight when rainwater and snow happens.
  • This window wiper is enclosed with heater on its shell guide to guarantee the smooth scrape in freezing weather. The window wiper can be used in all kinds of army naval vessel, auxiliary vessel and civil vessel, especially for the ships sail limitless navigation zone.

  • The window wiper complies with “the Rules of Classification of Steel Ship” of CCS (2006) and the CB1366-2002 standard of “General Rules of Ship Window Wiper”

4. Mounting:

  • Main unit is mounted above outdoor side scuttle with the rod swinging downwards. If needing other installation method, both parties should confirm special design and note it in technical specification.

* Remarks:
1. wiping distance, case length , blade length, and rod length can be customized required.
2. Last letter “R” following model represents heater .If it is not needed, delete “R” when placing an order.


6. Mounting:

  • Firstly please mount the body according to the requirement of mounting dimension in the attached drawing , the M10*30 stainless steel scrow (with nut and washer) can be used to mount, please pay attention to the dimension of amounting angel from middle line to two sides when mounting, so as to ensure the moving route of arm is in the middle of viewing window.
  • Arm unit will be fixed on transmission by attached stainless steel screw M6*20,M8*20 .When tested ,if the result is not good, loosen the locking screw of arm unit in attached drawing ,tighten adjusting screw to lengthen the pullback spring ,thus pull increase. At last, tighten locking srew to regulating the pressure between scraper and glass until achieving a satisfied scrape effect.
  • When connection, open the cover of box shown in attached drawing after connection according to attached drawing, the wirehole should be sealed by sealing rubber(or other effective way)for water proof.

7. Operation instruction:

  • Wiper start: connect the wiper switch on control panel, wiper works.
  • Wiper close: cut the wiper switch on control panel, wiper stops.
  • Heat start: connect the heater switch on control panel, heater works.
  • Heater close: cut the heater switch on control panel, heater stops.
  • Wiper speed regulating: wiper speed can be regulated by rotating the adjusting knob on control panel.

8. Precautions:

  • Clean the glass before wiping, otherwise, the result will be influenced.
  • The window wiper can only be used in the event of raining or snowing.
  • In the condition of freezing, the heater should be opened. After the ice is unfrozen, the wiper can start to work. When wiper works, the power of heating can be shut off.
  • After long time use, if the wiping is not clear, maybe the spring tension is decreased. Adjust the spring according to the upper method.
  • The oil substance is forbidden to contact with the wiping blade, otherwise the blade will be damaged.
  • If the result is influence by the abrasion of wiping blade, please replace the wiping blade.
