Immersion suit also called survival suit, which is the necessary lifesaving equipment on board of the vessels on international voyage. There are two specifications: type I and type II.
Type I immersion suit: It meets the requirements of SOLAS and IMO regulation with the function of watertight, buoyancy and natural insulation. It equipped with whistle and lifejacket light and no need to wear the life jacket anymore. It made of waterproof terylene oxford textile and with foamed polyethylene material inside.
Type II immersion suit: It is designed in accordance with the rules of IMO LSA,MSC81.(70) with the function of watertight,buoyancy and insulation also. It equipped with whistle and lifejacket light and no need to wear the life jacket any more. It made of high quality neoprene compound material,which has the propeties of waterproof, insulation,heat resistance,fire retardance, fuel resistance and intensity regulated. The application of this type of immersion suit will not be influenced by sea air,sea water,freshwater,oil and fungi.
Performance:
Wearing time: < 2 mins.
Storage temperature: between minus 30°C to 65 °C
Sizes: XL suitable for the wearer of height over 1.80m
L suitable for the wearer of height between 1.65-1.80m
M suitable for the wearer of height below 1.65m
Insulation performance: After the wearer soaks in stationary water of 0-2°C for 6 hours, the drop of the body-temperature is less than 2°C.
Waterproof performace: The water-permeability amount is less than 200g after the wearer has floated on water for one hour.
Floating performance: The wearer can be in face up position to above the water surface over 120mm within 5 seconds. The buoyancy less will be less than 5°C after immerging into water for 24 hours.
