Hydraulic nut
- Introduction
- Hydraulic nut is a strong fastening element. It can be used for locking large work pieces and assembling and disassembling of hydraulic interference connection. Mounting or disassembling propellers or bearing on tapered shafts or bushing is often difficult and time-consuming. The use of hydraulic nuts can improve efficiency and reduce such problems.
- Hydraulic nut is made up of cylinder body, piston, sealing ring, bolts and so on.
2. Working principle
When hydraulic oil is pumped into the hydraulic nut, to produce axial thrust force to the piston. When the installation parameter reaches the required design value, the oil pressure can be removed and the hydraulic nut tightened.
- The hydraulic nut is the installation tool of the ship propeller assemble and disassemble. Used in the propeller shaft system in the propeller hub, for installation and fixing. And also plays a protective role.
- Used for rudder blade key less connection, installation and fixation. If produces axial thrust in the absence of a rudder blade and provides a fixed safety feature to the rudder blade after installation.
