Outboard Cooler
Description:
- Outboard cooler can be applied for an efficient cooling system for inland and seagoing ships.
- The principle of outboard cooler system is very simple. Cooling water is forced through a U-Tube bundle, placed in a sea box provided with inlet and outlet grids. Cooling is ensured by natural circulation of the surrounding water.
- The system eliminates the complete “raw-water” secondary cooling water circuit on board, which brings a lot of advantages compared with plate heat exchangers or conventional shell and tube coolers. So there are no need for cooling pumps, filters and valves etc. Low operation costs due to less maintenance. This cooler is perfectly suitable for operating in polluted waters.
